My grandpa was diagnosed with some lung disease (which I can’t pronounce or spell) a while back. At first, you wouldn’t even know he had a problem. But now, he tires easily, can’t seem to catch his breathe, and gets dizzy and loses his balance a lot. He has to take naps pretty regularly and wear a breathing mask while he sleeps. I was searching online things that might help, and I found that evergo oxygen concentrators seem like viable options. They are portable, lighter, and have longer lasting batteries. I just to make things a little easier for him.

My fiance built this awesome cat tower for my kitty to play on instead of clawing up the furniture. It looks great! Now I’m wondering what else he can do. My Mr. Fix It! What he needs now is a nail and tool pouch!! It has flexible covers for nail pockets, extra reinforcement, and multiple size compartments and loops for all his tools. He’ll be even more motivated if he thinks I’m proud of him for all his hard work (which I am). And, the best part is that it’s on SALE!! You can save 72% on this pouch. As soon as the tools go on sale, I’ll start buying him more of those. I figure I have plenty of gift ideas for Christmas and birthdays now.

Now for myself, I’m thinking about getting an 8″ LCD Digital Photo Frame. My brother is moving back down here soon with his one year old son! In turn, I think this will encourage my other brother to come visit more with his two kids!! I’m going to need some awesome picture frames for some awesome pictures! Plus, why would I want to keep my pictures in a photo album where they can slowly lose their charisma when I can keep them digitally store them forever?

If you haven’t looked online for these kinds of sales, then you should. No, you NEED to do it. Why spend more money than you need to? Why fight your way through crowds, waste the gas money, and spend more when you could buy things at home and at your own convenience? You can have it delivered to your door! I’ve referred at least five of my friends, and they wondered why I hadn’t referred them sooner! They are addicted now too! Whenever I need something, I check to see if it’s here first.

You don’t have to struggle to find the best fat burner. There are sites with reviews by critics, users ratings, and the effectiveness of the actual supplements. Losing weight is hard enough. Why not get help from others to see what actually worked for them, not some commercial with hired actors. Why is it that on the commercials, when you lose weight, you also seem to get whiter teeth and a tan? I want answers from real people that know real information about the products I’m considering using.

I’m so jealous of my friend! Her parents are going to “help her out” this summer. So, she doesn’t need to get a summer job. She’s actually thinking about just going on a road trip around the country. I told her she should look into used motorhomes. Then she can just drive around and camp out wherever she wants. My grandparents got a motorhome after they retired. They have nine kids! They just drive around every summer and visit everyone. Then they park it down in Arkansas for the rest of the year. Sounds like fun to me!

When it rains it pours. I may or may not have mentioned this back in December, but I was in a car accident. My car was totalled. Now my fiance was also in a car accident, and his car was totalled. Unfortunately for me, my car insurance went up and his did not. My accident wasn’t even my fault, and my insurance went up. He ran a red light, and didn’t have to worry about his rates changing. I’ve learned that you need to read car insurance reviews. It’s important to find insurance that works with want you want and want you need.

You can find lots of deals online for almost any product. My friend’s laptop just died. She saw the blue screen of death for laptops. However, she wasn’t too worried about it all. She said she had used the laptop for years and knew that it was coming to the end of it’s life. Also, she knew that I had just bought a laptop myself recently. I was able to show her all the homework I had done as far as researching laptops when I started shopping. I was also able to help her from making the same mistake I did. The laptop I bought in stores was available online with a much better deal. You can find the laptop you want online with easy searches that help you narrow down exactly what you are looking for. I guess I hadn’t done my research as well as I’d hoped.

Going green is becoming more and more popular. People want to help keep our planet green. However, most the time it’s a matter of knowledge and convenience. Most of my friends recycle when they are on campus because there are recycle bins are everywhere! But, when they get home, everything just goes in the trash. One aspect that people are becoming more aware of in their homes, though, is buying products that are energy efficient. There is a growing demand for products and employees in this field. With training, you could become an energy auditor. I think it’s a field that’s in high demand right now, but that not many people think about going into. Sounds like a great opportunity for the few that do know about it!

Last summer, I baby-sat for some of the cutest kids. One particular kid had an attachment to t.v. though. Any commercial he saw, he wanted to buy the product…and, not just toys! He spilled food on his white shorts one day and told me not to worry because we could, “Oxyclean it!” Then another day, we were eating sandwiches at the park. He turned to me and said, “This is not ‘eat fresh’!” It took me a minute, but I realized he was talking about the Subway commercials! He is a cutie, but he also got me thinking…

How many products do what they say they will do? People are so used to trusting the most popular products, but what if they are the most popular just because they can put the most money towards advertising? I was reading about the side effects of hydroxycut, when I came across something interesting. Did you know that hydroxycut used to have a particular ingredient that worked, but due to extreme people trying to sue, they removed it. One of the key ingredients is no longer there! So, part of what made it popular isn’t there anymore! I didn’t know that, did you? I suggest reading reviews and going to sites that guarantee satisfaction!

I very much need a summer job!! I’m so used to being busy with classes, work, and homework…I don’t know what to do with myself?! I have all this free time to sit around. Unfortunately, I’ve been filling it with food! I NEED to go on a diet, but I’m tired of scams. Every weight loss pill claims to be the best. It takes so long and so much money to figure out which ones are real. I say, why not someone else figure that part out for me. You can figure out what the best weight loss pills are at one site. It’ll tell you which pills are safe, how effective, the rates at which you can lose, reviews from actual people, and etc. I can’t believe it took me so long to figure this out! Pass it on!

I managed to make it through my finals! And, I got A’s in both of my classes. Now I just need to work on my master’s project. Not the most ideal summer break, but it will all be worth it in the end! The only thing I don’t enjoy about grad school is the stress. I mean, I can deal with it and all. I just don’t like how my skin breaks out when I’m stressed. It’s like being kicked when you’re already down. What I need is a decent acne treatment. I don’t want some product that dries my skin out or just doesn’t work. I want something that clears up my skin fast, but keeps my skin healthy also. That’s not so much to ask, is it? Nope!

I just recently had the misfortune to need to go to the hospital in two different cities for two different people that mean a lot to me. They seem to be doing alright, and I am really grateful for that. However, when you’re stuck in a hospital for hours, you tend to get bored. At the last hospital, I couldn’t help but compare the two. The first one had free wireless connections and bigger tv’s in each room. However, the second had hospital disinfectant or sanitizer available everywhere! I really appreciated it. I mean, I’m coming to the hospital to be there for people, not to get sick myself. I like that patients, staff, and visitors can stop the spread of germs in a very convenient, easy way.

I used to work at my old university’s library. They had an exit at the back side of the library that they didn’t want people using. They only had the sensors for checking if someone was stealing a book at the front exit where they could see people leaving. So, they put a book shelf in front of the back door. The problem was, if you plan on stealing something, you have no problem with moving a book shelf. Needless to say, a few books, magazines, and even a laptop was stolen. You would think they would just get an exit alarm! That way, if the door was ever opened when it shouldn’t be, everyone would know about it. It seems like a better choice than a book shelf.

I went to my favorite restaurant with my friends yesterday. We had just finished up playing soccer and were STARVING! The people making the food were super fast, but the line was backed up because of the registar. The guy had to wait forever for the little machine to print a receipt. Then he manually stamped every receipt with a coupon. You couldn’t even read it, the print was so light. What was the point? They needed a tm-t88iv. It prints faster, in color, and can add graphics. Then I would have known what the coupon was even for, might have wanted to use it, and have come back! Their loss.

I’m debating switching my insurance companies. I feel like I’m paying for a lot that I don’t need. I’ve been looking and found that insurance online seems like the best way to go. I mean it’s convenient, easy, and you get what you want. Also, I’ve been finding that it’s less expensive than the big wig companies that make you get what they want you to get. You’re paying for what you want. I like not having to go in to talk to, basically, a “salesman” that will try to talk you into every little bell and whistle. I just like companies that are upfront and honest with you.

I am almost done with my first full year of grad. school! I can’t believe it! I’m passing everything, working on my master’s project, and just going with the flow! I’ve been working really hard and think I deserve treat for myself. I’ve been so focused on school that I haven’t really focused on myself at all. I’m going to go on a shopping spree! Now the best shopping sprees are when you find things on sale because then you can get MORE for you money!! And, as a college student, that is the best way to shop!

I love shopping online the most. You can compare prices with click of a button and without driving around from place to place. You can see exactly where the best sales are and how much you’re saving! I can get on four or five websites at the same time in different tabs. I’ll admit though, most of the time, the best sales are at the same site…buy.com.

My favorite places to shop are the weekly sales ads. You really can’t beat the prices you find. Today I found a bluetooth head-set for less than twenty dollars! I definitely need it with the new laws about texting and talking on phones everywhere! I do Not need a ticket!

I also found a optical netbook mouse for less than ten dollars! Don’t get me wrong, I love my computer, but sometimes the mouse pad drives me crazy! I like have a mouse that I can physically move where I want it to go. I like clicking up and down to scroll, not hoping my fingers is in the right place for it to scroll automatically.

Anyway, I digress. These are just some of the awesome deals that I found. I don’t even feel like I need to wait for the end of the semester. I can get these things without breaking the bank! I love finding great deals!

Why is it that you can never find the batteries you need, when you need them? Seriously. I bought a pack of AAA batteries thinking that’s what I needed, but when I got home, I discovered I already had AAA and needed AA. Plus, they are so expensive. You buy a four pack because that’s all you can afford at the time, use three and have one left over. What do I need ONE battery for anyway?

I think buying batteries online is so much easier. You can do it from home so you know what battery it is you need. It’s much easier then wondering up and down aisle looking for a battery display that may or may not have the type you need on it. You can also buy more than a four or eight pack if you want. Not to mention, all the price savers you can find for just ordering them online. Sweet!

New Car!

Sadly enough, over Christmas break, I was in a car accident. I was driving home and hit some black ice. It totalled my car. The bad news was that my car didn’t work anymore. The good news was that I could go car shopping again. I had payed enough off on my totalled car, that I would get money back from insurance to put down a car payment for a new car.

I also figured that while I’m car shopping, I should go insurance shopping too. I was paying too much for insurance that up until the accident, I had never used any of it before. It can’t hurt to get a free insurance quote. I mean, we all want to make sure we are getting the best price. Right?

I had a friend recently that lost her grandfather. He lived alone not terribly far, but not exactly close to family members. No one found him until a couple days after he had passed away. He’d suffered from a heart attack.

It makes me wonder about my own family. Right now, my grandma on my dad’s side lives alone. She’s about fifteen minutes away from my aunt, which isn’t bad. However, it’s not like that would help her if no one knew something was wrong. I think that some sort of emergency assistance is the best thing a person can have if you’re older, live alone, or even suffer from some chronic ailment. It would be nice to know that you can get help if you need it.

I’m a graduate assistant here at school. My students try to lie to me on a daily basis. Why don’t they understand that I’m a student too. I know what they will try to pull on me. One student, in particular, is not very good at it.

She missed a whole week of classes, came back on a Tuesday, tried to turn in the lab that was due from the week she missed, and then tried to say she couldn’t take the quiz that day. She told me she had talked to the professor, it was approved by her, and that she had a doctor’s note. This is the same girl that didn’t come to class one day and I saw her at the rec building working out later that afternoon. Also, the key for the lab she tried to turn in late, was posted online. AND, the doctor’s note, was a note from her dad for the Monday and Tuesday only that week. Pahleeease. If you don’t think I’ll check your story to see if it lines up, then you have a reality check coming!!!

I have been adding a lot of old friends from high school to my facebook account. Now I’m starting to regret it. I’ve had several emails from people inviting me to join their “business.” Riiight. Your “business.” Do you know how many pyramid schemes and fake businesses are out there? One of my old friends sent me a link to his “business” and it had a video that talked about how great and successful it was, but didn’t talk about a product!

If I’m going to have a successful home business, I’m going to get help from professionals that actually know what they are doing. Not someone that is just as young and inexperienced as me. I would want a company that has done the research, knows the clients to market to, and etc. I mean, I’ve been watching that show Shark Tank on tv, and if you haven’t done your research, they send you away without even thinking about it. It’s a no brainer!

So, the other day I was watching that show about Hulk Hogan’s family. They all went into this spa to get a colon cleanse (apparently all the stars do it). Well, at first I thought it was kind of ridiculous. I’ve heard that unless you get a professional colon cleanse like them, it’s not worth it. Most products used for a colon cleanse are just diuretics. You looks weight at first because you can’t keep anything in your body long enough to absorb it. However, after that show I decided to read more online. Turns out, there are products used for colon cleansing and weight loss. You just have to find the right one that has healthier ingredients in it. If it doesn’t mention killing bacteria (the cleansing part) or includes vitamins, it’s probably just a diuretic. I suggest you look into it!

Different acne medicines claim to work for various reasons. Some have exclusive ingredients that make it like none other. But, in reality, as a customer and not a scientist, what do we really know? How can we know what’s true? I mean, if one medicine says it has Salicylic acid in it, what does that mean? How do you know if the amount the acne medicine uses is enough to do anything? Then you pay extra money for this “special” ingredient and the company does use the ingredient, but not enough for it to make a difference. In some cases, the medicine might as well not even have it. It’s important to do your research. Ask your friends if they’ve used it or read reviews online. I have heard that murad is being sold at a reasonable price. But, is it really worth the money? You decide.

Right now, I’m taking a small break from homework.The problem I’m having is that after working for hours, I just want to relax. This may not seem like a problem. However, I’m sitting here watching Harry Potter, eating left over icing, and blogging. So, I went from sitting to sitting and eating. Since this routine seems to occur a lot, I wonder if there exists such a thing as a quick weight loss diet. I think it does exist!

Yikes! I’m working on my master’s project and feel so lost. Have you ever heard of the Burnside Ring? Me either. lol. It’s interesting though. As abstract as the whole concept is, I’m exciting to finally be learning something new. So far, I feel like my career as a graduate student has been filled with taking similar courses to what I took as an undergraduate. I’m actually grateful for a challenge. Now I just need to figure it all out!!!

I have a love hate relationship with Thursday nights. I do not like sitting through three hours of my night class, but can’t wait to get home to watch America’s Best Dance Crew! I just finished another amazing episode!! I think my favorite group is Poreotics (sp?). They have solid choreography and incorporate humor that makes it entertaining too!

I will say, I’m a little disappointed in the results tonight. I wanted the jump rope group to stay. They have mind-blowing stunts. Why would the judges get rid of them? I was also sad to see Heavy Impact go last week. :-/

So, if you want your group to stay….Vote!

A Flexible Education!

I have a cousin that is just lost in life. He’s smart. He’s so smart, but he gets bored in school. When he gets bored, he doesn’t try. I’m really trying to encourage him to get a criminal justice degree. He’s always been interested in criminal justice and this makes sense. He can take classes online with professionals for instructors. The schedule is flexible and the classes will be interested for him. If I could take my classes online, I would. I wish I could make my work schedule and class schedule fit together. And, once you’ve completed your degree, you can get assistance in job placement.

So, let’s recap. He can take classes online with professionals in a flexible schedule that will allow him to work, be able to apply for scholarships and grants to keep costs down, get a degree from an accredited college, and then assistance after his degree to find a job.
Sounds good to me!!

So, I’m not a huge shopper. I don’t like walking around the mall for hours to maybe buy something. I also tend to not buy anything unless it’s on sale. These are probably some of the reasons why I like shopping online so much better. I’m curious to know how much money I save by not driving everywhere. Seriously, gas is expensive. However, shopping from home and having it shipped right to my door. It doesn’t get any easier!

This week, I was browsing around and couldn’t believe some of these deals. You can get a netgear wireless router for less than twenty dollars! I wish I had found this deal before I bought mine. I bought mine from Walmart for around seventy dollars. There could be an extra fifty dollars in my pocket right now! And, the shipping on this product is free! I started thinking it was too good to be true, but a read a lot of the reviews on this product. Out of 122 ratings, it got 4.5 stars out of 5.

I also found a 100 Maxell 16x DVD-R pack for under $20! I recently just bought a laptop with a DVD burner on it, and I am so ready to use it. I didn’t think I would be able to find so many dvd-r’s for such a great price though!

Seriously, check it out! There are so many great deals on ipod speakers, tv’s, digitial cameras, printers, and etc. These weekly sale ads are awesome! I wish I had found this site sooner!!

The apartment complex I live at has it’s own gym….unfortunately, it’s disgusting. They don’t clean it, provide anything to wipe down the equipment, or keep the equipment tight.
